Memories

from Anathema by Your Last Endeavour

lyrics

Drunken behaviour, nothing new there, hatred made as a liquid, this hell I can't bear, wasting time trying to forget , pent up anger and regret.

Hatred as a liquid.

What can I say, your promise meant shit, I saved you at your lowest, never forget.

All the times, I remember your drunkenness ,all the shouts and aggressiveness, I was scared, scared out my mind I had to defend what was mine.

I had to take control
Could've left you on your own
Your habit was destroying life
My hatred grew for you

Did you ever care, or was life a joke? Spending all your time passed out, smelling of cigarettes and not giving a fuck, How did you survive? That's down to luck.

MEMORIES

Even though things got better, my anger still remains, I wish to never be like this, so you're to blame.

Why couldn't you be a hero. Why couldn't you just be normal, I was only young and didnt understand, how alcohol was the devil.

I had to take control
Could've left you on your own
Your habit was destroying life
My fucking hatred grew for you
